ChristchurchNZ was established in July 2017, following the merger of Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism (CCT), Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC), International Education, the Convention Bureau and the Christchurch City Council’s Major Eventsteam. ChristchurchNZ represents the interests of tourism, economic development and growth, international education, major events and conventions in the Christchurch and Canterbury region.
