Fonterra is a multi-national dairy co-operative owned by around 10,000 New Zealand farmer-shareholders. The company employs 22,000 people from around the world and is responsible for 25% of New Zealand's exports. Fonterra currently operates in seven international markets outside of New Zealand, with a strong presence in China, employing 1500 staff in China alone.

Favourite thing about Shanghai: All the people I met, that being everyone from

those I worked with, friendly shopkeepers and waiters, strangers who approached

us on the street, or regular faces like our local fruit guy.
